Background: Ion was raised to be an overzealous idealist for his country and sacrificed most of his body to serve as a Bionic Soldier. With the magic of his world dying, the Bionic Soldiers were constructed to rely solely on machinery for their power. While Ion never went overseas to bring stability to occupied territories like the Bionic Soldiers were intended to do, he saw his fair share of war within his own homeland. Nationwide protests and riots went out of control, multiple coups were staged, and organized crime ran the cities. A terrorist plot that simultaneously destroyed the country's nuclear power plants eventually spelled the end for the nation, leaving Ion to wander the ruins of his world as a lone survivor.

Body Construct: Ion's body is almost completely artificial. His brain is part computer and can process and store information much more efficiently than an average human. His digestive system has been modified make full use of his food intake, wasting no nutrients and producing little waste. Ion's body is also very conservative with the amount of energy it burns - a single meal is enough to keep him going for several days. His bones have been integrated with titanium foam, making him less flexible but difficult to break. While his blood and skin have been modified to be impervious to most viruses and diseases, Ion prefers not to take his chances with radiation and wears a gas mask and suit armor to protect himself. Radiation aside, Ion can only suspect what other deadly substances linger in the air after all the meddling his country did in bioengineering for biological warfare.

Personality: Years of service in the military has caused Ion to develop nihilistic views of humanity. He regrets following many of the orders he has been commanded to do, but he feels the fate of his world was deserved. Being trained to be nothing more than a loyal fighter, Ion struggles to connect with people. He is very stoic in attitude and is not one for idle conversation.

Combat: Ion has left the life of a soldier behind him. He carries no weapons and wishes not to kill again, but he is by no means a pacifist. Ion is highly effective at close combat with just his legs and fists and will hold nothing back until his opponents are subdued. His reactions can be slow due to the toll his environment has taken on his body, but he is sturdy and has the power to deal bone-crushing blows.
